Michelle Gomez has confirmed that Missy will be back in series 10 of Doctor Who!

Talking to the good folks at Music.com, she said:

“Weirdly, this is the sort of crunch week where I get to find out exactly what I’m going to be doing next.”

And she added:

“I can officially say that I will be starting back on Doctor Who soon, so that’s one thing.”

And guess what. Doctor Who executive producer, Steven Moffat pretty much confirmed her return as well. In the latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine, he was quoted on the subject of Missy return:

“Oh, of course Missy will be back,” he said. “How could she not be?”

There you have it folks. Looks like The Doctor has not only his new companion (Bill) to deal with in Season 10.

The low down on the Doctor Who Christmas special 2016

This year’s Doctor Who Christmas special 2016 is all set to have a – wait for it – superhero starring in it!

Set in the city of New York, the Christmas special will see the Doctor joining forces with an investigative journalist (actor Charity Wakefield) to try and save everyone from a terrible alien attack.

This is what Steven Moffat (yes, he’s still the executive producer on Doctor Who) had to say:

“I’ve always loved superheroes and this Christmas Doctor Who dives into that world. My favorite superhero is Clark Kent. Not Superman, Clark Kent.”
